I have over 30 years of experience in various industries and holding different responsibilities as service providers, user organisations and in research departments. I moved into the sustainability space in 2017 as I felt that it is an important area for all of us to be involved in as we need to take pro-active actions so that we can all continue to co-exist in this ever-shrinking world. Prior to this, I spent many years in insurance companies, have a diploma in actuarial science and am still closely associated with the industry as a partner.
I am familiar with the regional markets having been in charge of the whole APAC region when I was with CallidusCloud, and have intimate knowledge of China, Indonesia and Vietnam markets as I had direct responsibilities to set up offices and manage the operations there to support the regional expansion of Great Eastern.
Having schooled in the UK and worked for a US Silicon Valley company, I have a good understanding of both Western and Asian work culture, and also traditional and start-up environments. In addition, I have some knowledge of several Asian languages allowing me to build good relationships quickly in the various countries. Prior to these, I spent several years in government service and hence understand both public and private sectors well.
Specialties: General management, strategy, business planning, business development, business intelligence, program management, operations management and risk management.
